The existing electrical system at The Bobbin Pvt. Ltd., originally consisting of four CEB supplies including three 60 A 3-phase connections and a 400 kVA CEB transformer along with a 220 kVA generator, was reconfigured to operate solely on the 400 kVA CEB transformer and 220 kVA generator. As part of this upgrade, the previously used manual changeover switches were replaced with a centralized Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) panel, significantly improving the reliability and automation of the power supply system.
Additionally, the Main Switch Board (MSB) was modified to integrate enhanced protection features, such as Surge Protective Devices (SPDs) and Earth Leakage Relays (ELRs), to ensure safe and efficient coordination with the new ATS panel. Power Quality Analyzers were installed in both the Main Switch Board (MSB) and ATS panels to enable continuous monitoring and accurate detection of any irregularities or disturbances in the power supply system. To support the increased load capacity and ensure long-term performance, undersized transformer and generator supply cables were replaced with appropriately rated larger cables, providing improved current carrying capacity, safety, and durability.
